I went to the ranch this weekend to work on wedding stuff. My main project was to get as much of the craft stuff out of my house as possible so I can move on to the next phase of craft stuff.

And so, 23 days after I started, my Kusudama Origami centerpieces are done. I love them!!

So we're a little more than eight weeks out, and the panic is starting to set in.

DIY projects

• Banners. Completely done. I think that I ended up with 53 yards of the stuff.
  
• Origami flowers. Will be done with folding and assembling the individual flowers tonight. Will have to assemble and put the final touches on this weekend.

I finished a knitting project I started on Superbowl Sunday last night. I made a blue wig, and it looks pretty good if I do say so myself. I'd never really done any cableing before, but I figured it out relatively easily enough. I went to a drugstore yesterday. All the halloween stuff was gone, all the Christmas stuff was up. Those people are quick.

I'm actually glad for this in some way. Due to compliated scheduling that was made long before we met, I'm not going to be able to see graham14 again until December. Retail's assertion that December is next week helps me maintain ( Read more... )

So my best friend got knocked up again. (Irish catholic husbands are notorious for doing that sort of thing to their women...)
